On-line booking conditions

Please be aware of the following terms & conditions for on-line bookings:

You must have read and understood the Cruise Line's Terms & Conditions and general information pages as detailed in the Cruise Line's latest brochure.

The first and last names for all passengers must be input exactly as they appear on their passports.

Amendment fees of £35 per booking in addition to any charges levied by the cruise line are payable for any subsequent amendments to the booking as a result of inputting incorrect information when making the booking. Please be aware that individual cruise line amendment charges vary.

Cancellation fees of £75 per booking are payable in addition to the cancellation charges detailed in the specific cruise line's brochure for all cancellations. Please be aware that individual cruise line cancellation charges vary and are available on request or within their brochures.

You are solely responsible for arranging suitable Insurance cover for your cruise booking and this is a compulsory booking condition of all cruise lines.

You are fully responsible for ensuring that all the correct visas for all countries visited have been obtained before travelling and that you have at least 6 months validity on your passport at the time of travel.

You are fully responsible for ensuring you arrange for all necessary innoculations or tablets for all of the countries visited in advance of travelling and in the recommended time prior to departure.

When booking a fly-cruise, flights are wholly determined by the cruise line. This means the actual airline carrier, routing or aircraft cannot be guaranteed. This may mean the flight allocated to the booking is neither direct nor necessarily the quickest route available. For specific flight requirements please phone our call centre for more information or to make a booking.

Any credit card payments made for on-line bookings do not incur a credit card charge which makes it cheaper to book on-line. Any balance payable however is subject to credit card charges of 2.5% or 3% for Amex. Debit cards or cheques can be used to pay the balance and do not attract any additional charge at all. 

By ticking the box you confirm you would like to make a firm reservation for the cabin / air arrangements (if applicable) selected and are liable for any balance payment shown on the email confirmation. 

  

Additional booking bonditions for all bookings

The Cruise Specialists aim to ensure all passengers achieve complete satisfaction in making their cruise holiday arrangements, however it is understood that The Cruise Specialists are acting on your behalf and it is therefore necessary to make a few normal conditions, as follows:

The Cruise Specialists are a fully bonded ABTA member (K1464) and act as retail agents for a number of ATOL holders. The Cruise Specialists are also ATOL bonded in their own right under ATOL 6042 as part of The Freedom Travel Group Ltd for fly cruise packages put together by The Cruise Specialists.

Please be aware that The Cruise Specialists are acting solely as your booking agent, subject to which all bookings are accepted.

Liability

All bookings accepted by The Cruise Specialists and arrangements made are subject to the booking conditions applicable and published in the relevant operator or other principals brochure, website or other literature. The operators and principals are the cruise operators, airlines and hotels.

All tickets issued by The Cruise Specialists are in their capacity as retail agents for ATOL holders, upon the express condition that The Cruise Specialists are not liable to any passenger for loss, damage, delay, injury, cancellation, or any additional expense, suffered by any passenger whatsoever, or any cause beyond the control of The Cruise Specialists or any of it's agents, representatives or officials. The total liability of The Cruise Specialists shall not exceed the total payment received from the client in respect of any booking.

Payment

Payment will be required as per the booking conditions of the Operator/Principal. The Cruise Specialists require a deposit with the balance required 14 weeks prior to departure. If booking within 14 weeks of departure, full payment will be required immediately. Certain cruise lines may require full balance payment earlier than 14 weeks prior to departure and this will be advised at the time of booking if appropriate. In some cases, the full cost of any flight element may be payable at the time of booking.

The exact deposit/payment requirements for your chosen cruise operator will be advised at the time of booking.

If, after a deposit is taken, the balance is not paid by the designated time, The Cruise Specialists reserve the right, after due notice to the client, to cancel the booking and all deposits and assurances will be forfeited. Any charge imposed by the principal to cancel the booking, will be the liability of the customer. In addition The Cruise Specialists will levy a cancellation charge of £75 per booking.

All payments made by credit card are subject to a credit card charge of 2.5% of any payment made using that method. Amex charges are 3%. Debit card payments are not subject to any charge. Cheques can be used to make balance payments at no charge but in all cases we cannot confirm a booking until we have received a deposit payment by card. Until further notice, any payments made on-line when making an on-line booking are not subject to any credit card / Amex charges.

Cancellation

Any booking cancellation must be made to The Cruise Specialists in writing (letter / fax / email). We cannot accept cancellation by telephone. Cancellations are effective from the date we receive written confirmation. Upon receipt we will contact the relevant cruise operator to ascertain the relevant charges. Please note that in addition to cancellation charges there will be an cancellation fee of £75 per booking levied by The Cruise Specialists. You will then be liable for those charges.

Insurance

It is a Cruise line booking condition that passengers have adequate insurance cover.

The Cruise Specialists no longer sell insurance, however, if you call 0870 844 2742 and quote code K1464 then Holiday Extras will give you a competitively priced quote. Please ensure that any insurance purchased includes cancellation cover for the full gross cost of your cruise before any discounts given by The Cruise Specialists. 

Passports, Visas & Vaccinations

Passengers are personally responsible for any Visas, Vaccinations and Passports that will be required to travel.

Privacy Policy

The following policy explains how we use any information we receive from Website visitors and how we protect your privacy.

  • When you complete a cruise enquiry form we need to know your name, address, telephone numbers and e-mail address. This information, together with details of the cruise you enquired about, is forwarded to us to enable us to process your request for information. The Cruise Specialists will respond directly to you by telephone or email.
  • We use tracking software to monitor Website traffic and usage and to help us develop the functionality of the Website. This software does not enable us to capture any personal information.
  • The Cruise Specialists and our website developers will not disclose information about a Website visitor or enquirer to any other person or organisation without your consent unless they are legally required to do so or if there is an emergency situation that makes it necessary to do so.
  • The Cruise Specialists may send you occasional updates about The Cruise Specialists products and services via email, SMS text message or letter. You can unsubscribe from one or more of these lists at any time by emailing us at any time to admin@the-cruise-specialists.co.uk.
  • Any changes to our privacy policy will be notified on this page.
