For classic cruising with a modern twist, holiday on board P&O’s innovative Azura, launched in spring 2010. Azura has everything you would expect from a P&O Cruises ship: fine dining, a luxurious spa, impeccable service and a plethora of facilities, activities and entertainment.

It’s the attention to detail of the Azura that really captures modern British tastes, and nowhere illustrates this better than the 2 ‘Select Dining’ restaurants. P&O have brought Michelin starred chef Atul Kochhar on board to create Azura’s Indian fine dining restaurant, Sindhu. This stylish restaurant serves a fusion of fine Indian and British cuisine for an exciting, sophisticated culinary experience.

Famous for his appearances on the BBC’s Saturday Kitchen, sommelier Olly Smith has helped create chic restaurant wine bar The Glass House, matching wines to each course to perfectly complement your meal. Olly has also helped shape the drinks menus in Azura’s other bars and restaurants, and will host fun wine tasting sessions throughout the year. These are just 2 of the 11 places to eat on board Azura, which also include the 3 main dining rooms Amber, Topaz and Jade.

Recognising the diverse needs of today’s cruise passengers, Azura features 18 single staterooms and 2 large suites for groups to share, as well as spa staterooms offering direct access to the heavenly Oasis Spa, and a record 900 staterooms with private balconies.

On board innovations include the SeaScreen, an open-air cinema in the pool area and the Retreat, an exclusive al fresco spa area. When it comes to entertainment, you really are spoilt for choice, with chic venues such as The Playhouse, an 800-seat theatre hosting West End style shows; The Marquis, a traditional British pub with a contemporary twist; and Manhattan, a New York-inspired show lounge.
